Martial Arts (Brawling):
You bring on the hurt with a brutal can of whup-ass against your enemies.  For each level of Brawling you buy you earn 2 Punches and 1 Block Punch.  Each Punch drains 1 point of Will until the target runs out and goes unconscious.  Calling “Block” for your Block Punch skill negates a Punch from hitting you.  You earn more of these skills at every level until you cap out at level 5.

-Hook Punch:
You bring in a punch from the side and clock your opponent in the head, knocking him silly.  When using this skill, hit your opponent in the chest or shoulders and call “Stun!”  The target is then stunned for the standard 5 seconds.  This skill can be bought 3 times and can be used once per level per reset.
Prerequisite:  Level 2 Martial Arts (Brawling)

-Head Butt:
You decide your own skull is better suited than your fist in this fight and bash in your opponents face with your forehead.  Do this by placing both of your Boffered “Hands” on your opponents shoulders and calling out load “1 Damage!”  You take 1 points of Will drain from the effort.
Prerequisite: Level 3 Martial Arts (Brawling)

-Uppercut:
You are capable of delivering a jaw shattering uppercut to your opponent.  To use Uppercut simply strike your opponent in the chest with a beanbag and call out loudly “2 Damage, Knockdown!”  This attack cannot be blocked by Block Punch but it can be dodged.  This ability can be used once per reset and can only be bought once.
Prerequisite: Level 4 Martial Arts (Brawling)

-Knockout Punch:
You punch your opponent so hard they get knocked out cold.  To do this simply throw a beanbag at arms length in the torso and yell “Knockout!”  The targets Will is drain to zero and is knocked Unconscious.  This skill can only be bought once and can only be used once per reset.
Prerequisite:  Level 4 Martial Arts (Commando), Level 4 Martial Arts (Brawling)

-Curb Stomp:
You’ve completely brutalized an opponent and to finish him off have decided to crush his bleeding head under your foot with a single stomp.  You buy this ability only once.  You walk over to either an unconscious or bleeding out opponent, place the tip of your toes on their shoulder and say loudly and clearly “Curb Stomp, I grant you a quick death!”
Prerequisite: Level 5 Martial Arts (Brawling)

Martial Arts (Commando):
You have been taught advanced military training and know a deadly form of close quarters combat.  Each level of Commando gives you 1 Deadly Blow, 1 Subdue Punch and 1 Waylay.  Deadly Blow is called out as “1 Damage” and Subdue Punch is called out as “Stun”.  You earn more of these skills per level till you cap out at level 5.
Prerequisite: Dragoon Caste

-Disarm:
Using your skill and speed you can disarm an opponent of their weapon.  Do this by hitting them in your opponents weapon arm with your melee weapon or Boffered “Hand” and call out “Disarm.”  The target must then drop the weapon five feet from them on the floor.
Prerequisite:  Level 2 Martial Arts (Commando), Level 2 Martial Arts (Shadow Hand)

-Drop Kick:
You kick your opponent hard sending him to the floor.  Do this by throwing a beanbag at arms reach at an opponents chest and yell “Knockdown!”
Prerequisite:  Level 3 Martial Arts (Commando)

-Knockout Punch:
You punch your opponent so hard they get knocked out cold.  To do this simply throw a beanbag at arms length in the torso and yell “Knockout!”  The targets Will is drain to zero and is knocked Unconscious.  This skill can only be bought once and can only be used once per reset.
Prerequisite:  Level 4 Martial Arts (Commando), Level 4 Martial Arts (Brawling)

-Slit Throat:
By using your advanced martial arts training, you slit open your opponents neck with a razor knife.  Do this by placing a short Razor of 10 inches or less on an opponents throat and calling out load “Slay!”  This can only be bought once and used once per reset.
Prerequisite: Level 5 Martial Arts (Shadow Hand), Level 5 Martial Arts (Commando)

-Neck Snap:
Using your military training you break an opponents neck with a quick jerk of their head.  This technique can be bought 2 times.  
-Level 1: You walk to an opponent laying prone on the ground from either Bleeding Out or Paralysis, put your Boffered “Hands” on their shoulders while on one knee and say out loud “I grant you a quick death.  They are too report directly to a medical station.
-Level 2:  You place your Boffered “Hands” on a living opponents shoulders and say clearly out loud “Slay.”  This does not work on opponents with any sort of strength enhancement or are wearing an ExoSuit or BattleSuit.
Prerequisite: Level 5 Martial Arts (Commando)

Martial Arts (Gun Fu):
You are capable of subduing your opponents with grace and style.  For each level of Gun Fu bought, you earn 1 Waylay, 2 Dodge, and 1 Parry Blow that can each be used once per reset.  You earn more of these skills per level to use during each reset until you cap out at level five.
Prerequisite: Duel Wield Sidearms

-Disarming Shot:
With amazing accuracy you shoot a weapon out of an opponents hand.  To do this, shoot an opponent in their weapon arm and yell “Disarm!”   The target must then drop their weapon 5 feet from them on the floor.  This skill can be bought up to three times and used once per level per reset.
Prerequisite:  Level 2 Martial Arts (Gun Fu)

-Mercy’s Embrace:
You may end a bleeding or unconscious foes misery with a shot of your pistol.  Walk up to a Bleeding Out or Unconscious character and call “I grant you a quick death!”  Then shoot him.
Prerequisite:  Level 3 Martial Arts (Gun Fu)

-Untouchable:
You move so quickly they just cant touch you.  For 5 seconds you cannot be harmed by melee attacks.  When struck call out loud “Counter!”  You can only use this skill once per reset.
Prerequisite:  Level 4 Martial Arts (Gun Fu)

-Barrage:
Using two Machine Pistols fired at the same opponent you do 10 damage in the combine shot.  Both shots must make contact with the target for it to be successful.  You must call out loud “10 Damage” when firing.  This skill can only be used once per reset.
Prerequisite:  Machine Pistol, Duel Wield Sidearms, Level 5 Martial Arts (Gun Fu)

Martial Arts (Knights Credence):
You are a skilled sword fighter and will do whatever it takes to lob off your opponents head or completely bisect him.  For each level in Knights Credence you gain 1 Slash and 1 Block.  To do Slash you just add 1 point of damage to you melee weapons attack when calling out damage.  To Block you wait till you’ve been struck and then just call “Blocked“.  You gain more of these skills per level till you reach Level 5.
Prerequisite: Warrior, Thug or Pyrokinetic Sub Castes

-Shield Bash:
When a melee attack makes contact with your shield, you may make a Shield Bash.  When the weapon makes contact call out “Counter, Knockdown”.  The target then must fall to the ground.  Note:  Targets entire torso must make contact with the ground to be “knocked down”.
Prerequisite:  Shield Skill, Level 2 Martial Arts (Knights Credence)

-Execution:
You dispatch a prone foe by lobbing off his head with your blade.  To do this tap a Bleeding Out or Unconscious opponent on the chest with your blade and call out “I grant you a quick death!”  This can only be bought once but can be used 3 times per reset.
Prerequisite: Level 3 Martial Arts (Knights Credence)

-Cleave:
With your blade you put all your might into a single two handed swing doing double the damage too your opponent.  To execute this move just swing one blade with both hands and call out double the normal damage.  This skill can be bought up to 3 times and for each level can be used once per reset.
Prerequisite: Level 4 Martial Arts (Knights Credence)

-Counter Strike:
You parry and opponents blow and stab them in one quick motion.  To do this wait till an attack strikes you then yell out “Counter,-!” and the amount of damage your weapon deals normally.  This skill can be bought twice and used only one per reset.
Prerequisite: Level 5 Martial Arts (Knights Credence)

-Impaling Strike:
You jam your sword throw your opponent and then rip it out dealing massive damage.  To do this simply jab the tip of the sword on your opponents torso and yell “10 Damage!”  This attack can be dodged and countered.  It can only be bought once and used once per reset.
Prerequisite:  Level 5 Martial Arts (Knights Credence)

Martial Arts (Shadow Hand):
You are a lethal martial artist train in the use of an ancient art from old earth ancient history.  For each level of Shadow Hand bought you earn 2 Deadly Blows, 1 Waylay and 1 Parry Blow.  You earn more of these skills per each level of Shadow Hand Bought until you cap out at level 5.
Prerequisite: Academic, Assassin, Thief, Neurokinetic Sub Castes

-Disarm:
Using your skill and speed you can disarm an opponent of their weapon.  Do this by hitting them in your opponents weapon arm with your melee weapon or Boffered “Hand” and call out “Disarm.”  The target must then drop the weapon five feet from them on the floor.
Prerequisite:  Level 2 Martial Arts (Commando), Level 2 Martial Arts (Shadow Hand)

-Roundhouse Kick:
Using your advanced martial arts training you spin your body and firmly kick your opponent upside their head.  Perform this by throwing a beanbag at your opponent while yelling out loud “2 Damage!”  This attack can be avoided with a Block Punch or a Dodge.  This ability can be bought once and can be used once per reset.
Prerequisite: Level 3 Martial Arts (Shadow Hand)

-Blinding Strike:
With blinding speed you hit your opponent in the face causing the target to be dumbfounded.  Do this by hitting your opponent in the chest with you Boffered “Hand” and call out loud “Paralyze!”  The target is the Paralyzed for the standard 15 seconds.
Prerequisite:  Level 4 Martial Arts (Shadow Hand)

most people believe that Martial Arts would be hard to pull off in a LARP. This may be true and these rules still need testing but they are a glorious leap towards the future of Melee Combat in a Live Action Roleplay Scenario.

or you could just give the players sparring pads and tell not to hit below the belt =P
